PROMOTIONS ON ETSY,ETC.

I have been on Etsy since June and have not had much success. Wondering what I am doing or not?? Looking at other places to get my work shown, sold. So, I am open to all suggestions, but not as literate as many of you with websites,blogs,etc.etc.
Not sure where this discussion should be on this site??!!There is so much competition on Etsy, don't know how anyone can get business. Yet, I see many sales!!!Yes, I am a bit frustrated,but not givifng up!
